Namoi Joint Organisation
Liverpool Plains Shire Council is an active member of the Namoi Joint Organisation of Councils, trading as Namoi Unlimited.
Joint Organisations are entities that allow councils to work together to strengthen collaboration and engagement with the NSW Government and improve infrastructure and service delivery to their communities.
Joint Organisations elevate the shared priorities of members councils' strategic plans, programs and policies to perform three principle functions:
- Strategic planning and priority setting;
- Intergovernmental collaboration; and
- Shared leadership and advocacy.
Membership of Namoi Unlimited comprises Liverpool Plains Shire Council, along with Gunnedah Shire Council, Tamworth Regional Council and Walcha Shire Council.
The Board of Namoi Unlimited includes the Mayors of each member council and meets regularly throughout the Namoi region.
