LPSC’s Investment in Key Freight Routes

The Liverpool Plains Shire Council’s road works team is nearing completion of 3kms of works on the Blackville Road, repairing damaged sections of the road and strengthening it to ensure its suitability for the agriculture freight that drives the Liverpool Plains economy.

Once completed, Council’s team will move onto Bundella Road to undertake a further 4kms of works to repair and strengthen the road.

Council’s Mayor, Cr Doug Hawkins said the rehabilitation of Blackville Road and Bundella Road represents a $750,000 investment in Council’s road network.

“Blackville and Bundella Roads are key routes that support our local farmers in getting their product from the farm to market,” Cr Hawkins said. “Council recognises that roads are our most important asset and is investing $12 million this financial year in maintenance and improvements. This enables safe and efficient access to market for our farmers and a better journey for our road users.”
