LPSC’s Kerb & Gutter Improvements
Published on 05 May 2022
The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is replacing damaged sections of kerb and gutter in Poole, Punyarra, and Lenord Streets within Werris Creek. These replacement works are fixing up some of the worst kerb within the area to improve drainage along these streets.
Council’s Mayor, Cr Doug Hawkins said the works have been completed on Poole and Punyarra Streets, with works soon to be underway on Lenord Street.
“Council’s $220,000 investment in the replacement of kerb and gutter in Werris Creek is part of Council’s commitment to ensure our assets are maintained in line with our communities’ expectations and Council’s resources,” Cr Hawkins said. “These sections were chosen for replacement following a detailed assessment of our kerb and gutter condition across the shire.”
“This follows on from our work recently replacing the kerb and gutter and road upgrade on Single Street in Werris Creek, a further investment of $264,000 in roads for Werris Creek.”
