Mayor welcomes Hanna Butcher Shop to Willow Tree

Liverpool Plains Mayor Doug Hawkins recently made a visit to Graze Butchery to welcome the expansion of their new business to the village of Willow Tree.

Mr Sam Hanna, Group Managing Director of Hanna Pastoral and Property Group, said the Hanna family have expanded our Willow Tree based business with the opening of a retail Butcher Shop at the beginning of this year. It is located in the repurposed rural fire services building on the New England Highway, the space was designed to put produce and traditional butchery front and centre. With three refrigerated displays, open plan butchery and a large window into the dry aging room, customers have complete transparency to the product quality and preparation. It is a traditional full body butchery, so every cut is available and the produce is all locally grown and produced with Colly Creek Black Angus Beef from Willow Tree, Castle Mountain Lamb from Quirindi and Dammfyne Swine Pork from Moonbi.

“The business employees four full time staff and is led by experienced local butcher Peter Robinson.  Currently the shop is open Monday to Friday with the business looking to recruit additional team members to extend into weekend trading,” he concluded.

“The newly established butchers by the Hanna family at Willow Tree showcases some of the best beef in the country and provides the opportunity for locals and visitors alike to access this prime produce. This is great news for our region to see businesses such as these being established which shows great faith in the future of our Shire, and the growth of our economy,” said Cr Hawkins.
