On display until 23 August 2024, 12:00 PM

Council has prepared a Draft Asset Management Policy, which is available for public inspection and comment until 23 August 2024.

The Asset Management Policy is a strategic document designed to guide the management of the Liverpool Plains Shire Council assets, which include infrastructure, public facilities and other community resources.  This policy outlines key principles for maintaining and enhancing assets to ensure their long-term sustainability and optimal performance.

Key highlights of the policy include:

  • Lifecycle Management which involves overseeing assets from their acquisition to their disposal, aiming to maximise their value and extend their service life.
  • Risk Management identifies and mitigates risks related to asset failure or underperformance.
  • Performance Monitoring involves regularly assessing the condition and performance of assets to inform decision-making.
  • Financial Planning aligns asset management strategies with financial planning to optimise funding and resource allocation.

This policy represents the Council’s commitment to responsible administration of the community’s assets.  It ensures that Council is making informed, sustainable decisions that will benefit the community for years to come.

Community members are encouraged to provide their feedback regarding this document.
