Quirindi Library’s short-listed for Leo Kelly OAM Arts & Culture Award

The Liverpool Plains Shire Council is proud to be short-listed for the prestigious Leo Kelly OAM Arts and Culture Award for the newly open Quirindi Library and Community Hub.

The awards are run by Local Government NSW and recognise outstanding achievement by local government in strategic planning and delivery for arts and culture.

Liverpool Plains Shire Council General Manager, Jo Sangster acknowledged the vision and commitment to excellence the council staff has shown in delivering such a high calibre facility for the community.

The library and community hub precinct are designed to facilitate community connectedness for all members of the public.

The General Manager expressed her thanks to the State and Federal Governments for working in close partnership with LPSC to deliver this outstanding community space.

The Local Government NSW awards will be announced and celebrated in a two-hour online presentation on Thursday, 4 November 2021.

Eligible projects or initiatives in the finals will be judged on whether they demonstrate:

  • Innovation and Improvements to cultural planning, policy, delivery and or evaluation
  • Achievement of intended goals with Measurable cultural outcomes
  • Leadership to other councils and a strong legacy of the project.

Visitors to the Library must produce a Covid-19 double vaccination certificate before they are permitted to enter the premises.
