Liverpool Plains Shire Council recreation services staff are looking forward to welcoming the community back to the Quirindi and Werris Creek swimming pools on Saturday, 30 October.
The recreation services team has worked hard behind the scenes to ensure community and staff safety, carefully planning and training to comply with the Public Health Order.
Liverpool Plains Shire Mayor Councillor Doug Hawkins OAM said he was delighted the pools would open with the weather warming up.
“Council staff are very excited about reopening and reconnecting with the community,” Cr Hawkins said.
Cr Hawkins urged the community to be respectful to recreation staff once the pools were open.
“Visitors to the pool must show evidence of being double vaccinated before they will be permitted to enter, and our staff are responsible for making sure our COVID-safe plans are adhered to. They are there to keep you safe, so please be kind and follow their advice,” he said.
Residents are reminded that both Swimming Pools are closed on Christmas Day and that opening hours will be dependent on weather conditions.
