Quirindi Aquatic Centre

Liverpool Plains Shire Council has secured a commitment of $6.6 million from the NSW State Government to build a new aquatic centre. Much of the existing Quirindi Pool infrastructure for the existing almost 100-year-old pool had unfortunately reached its used-by date and consequently undertaking any partial upgrade of any of these facilities was unviable.

Council consulted with the community in 2023 to develop plans for the New Quirindi Aquatic Centre. This feedback was valuable in helping plan the new aquatic centre.

Following it’s Ordinary Council meeting on 24 April 2024, Liverpool Plains Shire Council (LPSC) announced that Beau Corp Projects have been awarded the contract to design and construct the new Quirindi Aquatic Centre.

Liverpool Plains Shire Council and Beau Corp Projects are currently reviewing the final structural designs for the Quirindi Aquatic Centre. The structural designs include details that are not seen above ground. The hydraulic, mechanical and electrical components of the design are critical components, and LPSC are scrutinising all aspects of the structural design to ensure it reflects the concept designs endorsed by Council.

The review of the structural designs is expected to be completed by mid-September 2024.

Following the endorsement of the structural designs, the project will move into the construction phase.

The designer's renders of the 50-metre pool and wading pool show how the main pool areas will look and accessibility is a key feature of both pools.
